Introducing (Aunt) Sally

In the summer of 1972, Jane’s Aunt Sally was the quiet heartbeat of her local tennis club. She wasn’t the loudest, but she was certainly the strongest player, and she had a rare gift for bringing people together. Every Saturday, she and her small circle of friends gathered after matches in their crisp whites, sharing gossip and the kind of laughter that made strangers turn their heads.
Sally had a mischievous streak too. That year, she secretly entered the group into a regional doubles tournament, forging their signatures with a flourish. Shock quickly turned to determination, and the surprise entry became a turning point. They trained harder, played braver and—against all expectations—reached the semi-finals. Sally always said it wasn’t the tennis that mattered, but how the experience stitched them together.

That story stayed with Jane. Inspired by her aunt, she picked up a racquet and quickly showed real talent, going on to compete at Junior Wimbledon in 1983. She still plays weekly today—though recently she’s become hooked on padel. Aunt Sally herself continued playing well into her seventies.
Years later, Jane, her sisters and her cousins asked reLOVE to digitise more than 6,000 photos and slides. Among the collection, these images of Aunt Sally and her friends on the court remain Jane’s favourites, and she was especially keen to share them.
The family love having their memories preserved in digital form. What began as a practical project quickly became an emotional journey. As each image was brought back to life, long-forgotten moments resurfaced: birthdays in back gardens, holidays filled with sunburn and sandcastles, and the everyday snapshots that quietly shaped their family history.
For Jane and her cousins, seeing these photos restored and organised felt like opening a time capsule.
They could zoom in on details they’d never noticed before—the pattern on favourite dresses, the expressions of pure joy frozen in time. These weren’t just pictures; they were anchors to the people and stories that made them who they are.
Having everything safely digitised means the next generation can enjoy these memories just as vividly. No fading, no risk of loss—just a beautifully preserved family legacy they can revisit, share and build upon for years to come.
reLOVE is delighted to continue helping families tell their stories and safeguard their memories for generations.

Here's a selection of what we digitise and make available on your private cloud gallery and on USB for all the family to enjoy.
